Choosing a Guesthouse You Will Love
Dozens of guesthouse websites look almost identical, yet the differences decide whether a trip feels easy or exhausting.
After years of hosting, here is the checklist we give our own friends: location you can walk from, breakfast that is actually included, bathrooms cleaned daily (not "regularly"), lockers big enough for a laptop, a kitchen you may really cook in, and people at reception around the clock.

Star ratings blur together. Instead, search reviews for the words "clean", "safe", "noise" and "staff". One honest sentence about a 2am check-in tells you more than twenty "great location!" comments. And look at how the house answers criticism — a thoughtful reply beats a perfect score.
Price matters, but divide by what is included: a £34 dorm with breakfast, towels and a kitchen often beats a £28 bed that charges for all three. Do the maths, then come and stay with us — we will prove the checklist right.
